 ROLE OF PHARMACIST IN PREVENTION AND SPREAD OF INFECTION 


    With the knowledge of physiology and hygiene pharmacist can as well play a vital role in the prevention of infection and can be helpful in the matter of health education to the people in many way

1.by exhibiting posters and distributing literature on preventive measures against the existing epidemics.

2.by distributing free or at cost price the tablets to prevent or cure the prevailing infection e.g daraprim and camaquine tablets once a week as prophylaxis against malaria and chloroquine tablet to the febrile ones with malaria in the village 

3.by educating the public about prophylaxis against the prevailing epidemic by vaccinating the public against the infection and by implementing other preventive measures

4.by coordinating himself with the medical health centre in the village or near by town dispensaries and hospitals

5.by working as a social worker and improving the hygienic conditions of the village he can do this well by establishing a direct contract with the village who form the major part of our population 

    when indians will be up at prevention of diseases many infective diseases will be extinct from our country by co ordination and proper plannings we can improve our hygienic standards and save our country form epidemics and endemics and increase longevity of the people
