Myositis: it is a disease characterised by inflammatory and degenerative changes the muscle leading to systemic weakness and to some extent the muscle atrophy it may be of septic type or non septic type non septic myositis may develop as a part of symptoms of other disease
muscular atrophy:: it is a disease characterised by motor dysfunction (usually muscular weakness) caused by an atrophy in some part of the motor unit it may be an acute condition
muscular dystrophy :: it is a chronic disease characterised by gradual wasting of the muscle tissue the cause may be other then the destruction of the nerve supply (motor unit )
MYASTHENIA GRAVIS::
It is a disease characterised by sporadic muscular fatiguability and weakness occuring chiefly in muscles innervated by somatic nerves the causative defect is rapid distruction of acetylcholine by enzyme cholinesterase or its failure to elicit perfect contraction of the muscle the patients may experience difficulty in seeing swallowing walking etc
myalgia:::
myalgia is the term referring to the pain in muscles that may be due to fatigue muscle spasm or stiffness resulting from the inflammation of muscle sheath and the fibrous tissue
hypertophy:::
it is a disease wherein there is an increase in muscle mass (number and /or size) it may be seen in athlets
