 BLOOD :

Other RBC and Hb indices that help in the diagnosis of the anaemia are as follows: 

(1) Mean corpuscular haemoglobin content (MCHC).

It is the measure of Hb per 100 ml of blood 

Normally MCHC ranges between 30-35 if it goes below 30 patient has hypochromic anaemia whereas if it goes beyond 35 patient has hyperchromic anaemia 

(2) Mean corpuscular Diameter (MCD): 

It is usually 7.2u if it is less then patient has macrocytic anaemia
