 ECG::

Leads::

These are the pair of connections between two parts of the body There are two types of leads:(1) Bipolar limb leads or standard leads and (2) Unipolar leads
        In bipolar limb leads two electrodes are placed on two extremities and both record simultaneously the particular electric pattern of the heart facing these extremities these leads are (a) Lead 1:Right arm and left arm (b) Lead II: Right arm and Left leg (c) Lead III : Left arm and Left leg
    Unipolar leads are obtained by placing one electrode in close proximity of the heart All unipolar leads are designated by the letter  V There are two types of unipolar leads unipolar limb leads and unipolar chest leads Different unipolar leads are as follows:

Unipolar limb leads   a. Lead aVR:right arm lead
                                   b. Lead aVL:left arm lead
                                    c.Lead aVF: left leg lead
Unipolar chest leads: V1:4th intercostal space right sternal border
                                    v2: 4th intercostal space left sternal border
                                    v3: Midway between v2 and v4
                                    v4: 5th intercostal space in mid clavicular line
                                    v5: 5th intercostal space in anterior axillary line
                                    v6: Mid axillary line at the level of v4
