1.Homosexual men 

2.Recipients of blood and blood products 
3.Persons having organs being transplanted from others who may be infected 
4.Women getting artificial insemination 
5.Prostitutes 
6.Narcotic addicts (intravenous drug abusers)
7.Haitians and Africans

Screening::

Second step is to perform initial screening tests which include total WBC count (leucopenia) ELISA-HTLV(III) antibody test (it is positive in AIDS patients) evidence of cellular immune deficiency and characteristic pathology in lymph-node biopsy These days PCR (polymerase chain reaches) is used in the diagnosis of AIDS 
                        Based on above findings one has to screen for the complicating infections history of respiratory and CNS symptoms herpes infection etc and also the laboratory tests such as chest examination and stool examination for bacteria and parasities 

Treatment:

At present most of the patients of AIDS die However treatment related to complication of immune deficiency and HTLV III infection can be undertaken in addition one can also go for immune reconstitution with interferons
