HOLGER NIELSON METHOD ::

This is method has been described in 
1. Patient is made to lie on the reserve with his head on one side and arms folded under neath 
2.Volunteer kneels at the head his hand open and on the upper broder of the shoulder blade 
3. Volunteer rocks slowly in front increasing pressure on the back of the chest more so on lower chest on both sides slike 
4. Volunteer waits for a while pause 
5. Volunteer now rocks back sliding his hands on the arms to near the patient selbow while sliding his hands volunteer keeps on raising the patient s arms thus forcing a deep inspiration 
6. Arms of the patient are again brought down for a fresh act of artificial respiration 

Sylvester s Method ::

In this method the subject is placed in supine position The operator stands at the head end and holds the two arms of the subject the operator then raises the subject s hands above his head and then folds the hands back upon the chest compressing the chest wall at the same time Such movements alternately increase and decrease the thoracic cavity thus drawing in and pushing out air from the lungs the rate is same as in Schafer method
