CEREBRAL VENTRICLES ::
These are the cavities in the brain where CSF flows and bathes the whole brain There are four ventricles :two lateral ventricles a third ventricle and a fourth ventricle
Lateral ventricles are present in the cerebrum it is like a transverse C-Shaped cavity The lateral ventricles are connected to the third ventricle by interventricular foramen
The third ventricle lies in between two halves of the thalamus it is connected to the fourth ventricle by cerebral aqueduct
The fourth ventricle lies in the front of cerebellum and behind the medulla oblongata and pons The fourth ventricle is in continutiy with the central canal which extends throughout the spinal cord The CSF Which is secreted by choroid plexuses flows from the lateral ventricles downwards through third and fourth ventricle and further downwards in the spinal cord through the central canal
