 Disorders of adrenal cortex ::

Addison s disease :It is the disorder of hypofunctioning of the adrenal cortex The major symptoms are hypoglycemia loss of body water fall in blood pressure severe muscular weakness anorexia nausea vomiting pigmentation of skin delayed wound healing etc Severe loss of sodium chloride in urine occurs in this condition 
Cushing s  syndrome : It is the disorder of hyperfunctioning of the adrenal cortex The major symptoms are hyperglycemia water retention increased blood pressure increased fat deposition in trunk abdomen and buttocks increased appetite etc 

Disorders of adrenal medulla :::

Pheochromocytoma :: It is the cancer of adrenal medulla leading to increased adrenaline and noradrenaline secretion All the actions of adrenaline are exaggerated during this disorder Severe hypertension is the characteristic symptom
