Tuberculosis ::

It is a bacterial disease caused by bacillus Mycobacterium tuberculosis The infection is characterised by husky cough easy fatigue loss of weight rapid pulse afternoon fever and a decrease of appetite The body is wasted the cheeks are flushed eyes look bright and sunken and patient s nature becomes sensitive and irritable 
            Tuberculosis affects various systems of the body Pulmonary and glandular tuberculosis are the commonest The later occurs more in children Bone meninges of brain intestine Kidney etc can also get infected with tuberculosis 
                        It is a chronic disease and may last for months and years It may recur if the patient s resistance is low 

Pneumonia ::

It is a disease caused by Diplococcus pneumoniae The patient s lungs partially get solidified and show sudden onset of fever with chillis and it is associated with pain in the chest cough dyspnoeic breathing and cyanosis In children it may lead to vomiting and convulsions The phlegm-expectorant carries the germs 

Diphtheria ::

In is an acute infectious disease characterised by peculiar inflammation of the membrane of the throat nose and tonsils by forming false membrane of soluble exotoxin It is a bacterial disease caused by Corynebacterium diphtheriae These bacteria produce infection in the respiratory tract 
        It is a widely distributed disease and these cases are mainly seen in winter Overcrowding unhygeinic conditions healthy carriers of diphtheria germ and diphtheria cases help the spread of diphtheria infection
