The infected patient should be separated out from home hostel hotel factory institute or locality and be sent to the public hospital preferably to infectious disease hospital If this is not possible keep him in a separate room which is a detached one with a separate toilet and bath attached to it Throughout illness only one person should nurse the patient and he or she should disinfect hands with soap mask his mouth wear separate dress or apron and separate footwears while nursing The infectious patient should not cook for others and should not handle children as far as possible There should be separate utensils towels bedcovers etc for the patient If all such strict segregation is not possible do as much good as you can but do not follow the policy of let go
Quarantine ::
Quarantine is stopping the healthy suspects from affecting others Say there is an epidemic of cholera in the neighbouring town It is likely that a larger number of persons externally healthy may be harbouring Vibrio cholera germs in their digestive system So the best way is not to allow them to leave their town nor allow them to enter till the incubation period is passed off This way of preventing travel prevents the spread of germs
