Infection can be easily prevented by avoiding drinking or bathing in infected rivers and tanks Copper sulphate can be used for sterilizing water infected persons should be treated under the supervision of a medical doctor

First choice : piperazine (75 mg/kg) Levamisole (2.5 mg/kg single dose )
Second choice : Pyrantel palmoate (11 mg /kg single dose ) Mebendazole (100 mg twice a day for 3 days )
2.Hook worm :;(necator americans )
first choice :: Bephenium (5 gms single dose) pyratel palmoate (11 mg /kg single dose)
second choice :: mebendazole (100 mg twice a day for 3 days) Thiabendazole (25 gm/kg twice for 2 days)
3.whip worm : (Trichuris trichiura )
First choice :: mebendazole
second choice :: Thiabendazole
4.Thread worm : (strongyloides stercoralis )
first choice :: Thiabendazole
second choice :: Mebendazole
5.pin worm :(Enterobius vermicularis )
first choice :: pyrantel palmoate
second choice :: piperazine mebendazole
6.Tape worms (Taenia saginata )
first choice :; niclosamine (2 gm for adults ) 500 mg /gm for children
Second choice :: Diclorophen (2-3 gm for adults 1-2 gm for children every 8 hrs for 3 days )
