Drug absorption is the passage of drug from its route of administration into the general circulation It is the primary aspect of pharmacokinetics necessary for the following 
1.To determine the frequency of administration of drug 
2.To ascertain the duration of the effective action of drug 
3. To predict the onset of the desired or undesired effect of drugs
