The gives various primary dosage forms used in therapecutics in order to achieve the maximum effect of a drug the administered drug must reach to the site required This is achieved by Drug Targetting Technology it includes use of liposomes erythrocytes and platelets as carriers use of monoclonal antibodies magnetic microspheres and nanoparticles (nanotechnology ) All this comes under the subject of Biopharmaceutics it is beyond the scope of this book to describe them in details 

    Use of drug elutent stents is another method of administration of drug directly at the site (coronary arteries ) to prevent inflammation/plaque formation
